Mediation Intake Session

When you commence the mediation process, your first scheduled meeting will be your intake/assessment session with an accredited family dispute resolution practitioner. You will discuss issues in dispute, the history of your relationship with the other participant/s and any other matters that the mediator considers relevant for the purposes of assessing if family dispute resolution is the right forum for the matter.

Having a family violence restraining order or family violence intervention order does not necessarily rule out mediation as an option. Please e-mail a copy of your vro/ ivo/ avo to Family Intermediary prior to your intake session.
